The Arch

A rounded arch frames the entire mark, evoking the architecture of a doorway or window – a threshold that students, families, and the congregation members cross together. It signals that this is a place to learn and BELONG.

The Cross

At the center of the mark stands a cross – the defining symbol of what we BELIEVE. The cross at the center of the mark (Christ Alone) portrays this meaning without words. The flowing pathways of the cross design represent the unique journeys of students, families, church members, and staff – all inter-connected and belonging to the body of Christ.

The Fish

Appearing quietly within and throughout the logo is the shape of a fish, the ichthys, one of the earliest symbols of Christian identity. Historically, Christians used the fish to let it BE KNOWN that they BELIEVE and BELONG to Christ. It’s also a symbol of Christian ministry: “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people” (Matthew 4:19).

Identity for Now and for Eternity

The logo mark’s sweeping, interconnected nature hints at the scientific symbol for DNA. Each person’s DNA is unique and gifted by God. Each of us is known by our Creator. During our time on earth, Christ Alone is a place where God’s children can BE KNOWN and valued. And we can look forward to eternity together because of God’s grace to us in Christ. For this reason, the logo mark features the mathematical idea of infinity in its curves.
